Patio Garden

Geraniums and VinesMy wife and I have taken up residence in a townhouse for time being. It is going to be a bit longer before getting farmland of some sort or another. So in the meantime, I am contenting my desire to grow and produce with small bit of gardening on the patio. Granted, a good deal of these plants are just flowers, but there are also tomatoes and herbs.

There really is not so much to say, some soil was purchased along with the plants and seeds. The plants include some kind of vine plant, several geraniums, and of course the tomatoes. In addition there is a small planting of herbs, reusing some of the pots that the geraniums came in which include oregano, basil, cilantro, and rosemary – some of which are just starting to sprout already.

Planned already, but not executed (I have not been able to locate my skill-saw since the move) is to build a couple of plant boxes for the tomatoes and additional herbs. They will be built out of reclaimed and hence recycled palette wood that would have otherwise gone to waste. When the skill saw is found and the project is going, I will post additional pictures of that.

In the meantime, following is some pictures of the patio gardening attempts so far. Keep in mind it is a small bit of almost nothing, but starting with small step is a start and in move in the right direction.
